Daptex Foam Sealant

With winter approaching in the northern hemisphere of our planet, many of us our preparing our homes for the oncoming cold. Our market researchers went to the local hardware store to investigate the adhesives and sealants that are available for this purpose and we found a variety of new and exciting products on the market.

Although Daptex Foam Sealant is not an adhesive per say, it can be used for many purposes where attaching "this to that" is the outcome. That was enough for us decide to look more closely at this product that hails "advanced latex polymer foam technology". This product insulates, seals, fills cracks, holes and gaps. It sticks to wood, concrete, brick, vinyl, steel and aluminum. It cures in 24 hours and takes paint well once it is dried. What attracted us to this product was that it is less toxic than many similar products due to the fact that it does not contain isocyanates. Unfortunately Daptex isn't completely solvent free, but at least it is a lot easier on the respiratory track than products containing isocyanates. Daptex Foam Sealant is easy to use. We liked how it expanded to fill holes and gaps, but is was easy to control and did not continue to expand after it was in place. We think that Daptex Foam Sealant is a wise choice for winterizing your home this fall.
