Glue of the Month

Silicone-Be-Gone

April's Glue of the month is not really a glue at all! It's an un-glue. Silicone-Be-Gone by DAP is a solvent designed specifically for silicone. It will dissolve cured silicone, and is also handy for clean up of freshly applied silicone. It is very thick so it is easy to place directly on the silicone with out drips or spills. It takes about 2 hours to completely dissolve the silicone, but it really does work. But be careful; even though it claims to have a "non offensive odour" don't be fooled. It is an oil based solvent and is therefore toxic. Use with proper ventilation. Silicone-Be-Gone is a great solution to those hours spent crouched in the shower with a mat knife picking out decayed silicone.
